This person will join a team of therapists in the Center for Student Success to provide individual occupational therapy to St. Paul students. The Center for Student Success (CSS) is a team of learning specialists and therapists who work with approximately 70% of our student population. The Center’s learning specialists lead structured literacy and math instruction and faculty training in kindergarten - 2nd grade. They are a strong, multi-disciplinary team that provides multisensory instruction and support for students in both large and small group settings. The Center therapists collaborate with the CSS team and classroom teachers as they carry out a therapeutic plan for students in an individualized setting. 

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The Occupational Therapist will provide services to support students’ participation in academic, social, and spiritual activities by addressing fine motor, sensory, self-regulation, and functional skills. The therapist will collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to ensure students’ needs are met in alignment with our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students to identify needs in fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional school-based skills.
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans that support student success in the classroom and daily routines.
  • Provide direct therapy services, consultation, and collaboration with teachers and staff.
  • Document evaluations, progress, and maintain appropriate records.
  • Support teachers in creating classroom environments that accommodate diverse learning needs.
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff to encourage consistent support across home and school.
  • Integrate Christian values into therapeutic interactions and serve as a role model of Christ-like character.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Current state licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist.

  • Pediatric or school-based experience preferred.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

  • Commitment to the mission and values of Christian education.
