Part Time School Nurse

The mission of The Harpeth Hall School is to educate young women to think critically, to lead confidently, and to live honorably. To fully realize that mission, Harpeth Hall is committed to creating an environment in which every member of its community is seen, heard, and valued. 

Harpeth Hall seeks a Nurse for the school. The Nurse position is a critical part of supporting students. The Nurse will report to the Director of Counseling. The position is part-time and exempt. 

Position Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Provides appropriate care for ill and/or injured students;
• Administers first aid to students/staff, when necessary, in accordance with school policies and state law;
• Administers OTC medications as needed per school policy and prescription medications or specialized nursing care procedures under physician’s orders;
• Provides care to high risk students and those with chronic illnesses;
• Performs related work as required;
• Employment is “at will,” meaning Harpeth Hall or the substitute may end the employment relationship at any time with or without reason or notice. 
• All employees of Harpeth Hall are expected to support and adhere to school policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications

• Exceptional communicator.
• Experience working with students.
• Registered Nurse certified and licensed with State of Tennessee and in good standing with the Tennessee Board of Nursing
• Able to use technology confidently.
• Timeliness and organization.
