Job Summary: Specialized instruction of preschoolers

Early Childhood Associate Teacher’s Primary Purpose: To design, model, and create learning experiences for Early Childhood students that allow each student the opportunity to reach their God-given potential in a way that supports the mission and values of the school.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Specialization and passion for teaching Early Childhood students
- Working closely with a lead classroom teacher
- Implementation of Woodland’s Educational Philosophy
- Staying current with teaching strategies, techniques, and educational technology
- Consistent and clear parent and student communication
- Working collaboratively with administrators and colleagues
- Planning and directing grade-level plays and/or performances
- Planning and attendance of field trips
- Participation in school committees
- Attendance and participation in divisional meetings
- Student arrival and/or dismissal duties
- Adherence to Faculty Guidelines
- Participating in professional development
- Supervision of students
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative independent school environment
- Support the school’s Statement of Faith
Experience & Physical Requirements:
- Teaching experience (minimum of three years)
- Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master’s degree preferred in related field
- Valid teacher licensure is preferred but not required
- Proficient in advanced technology skills
- Ability to regularly sit, turn, bend, reach, walk, talk, hear, and visually identify visitors
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
