  • Is intentionally relational and serves as an advisor for 10-12 students
  • Inspires and facilitates learning through a strong instructional ability
  • Has a passion for teaching and subject area
  • Is an effective communicator, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, colleagues, and other professionals in a timely manner
  • Is a collaborative and unifying team-player 
    Implements well-planned student learning through a Biblical worldview by employing a wide variety of instructional activities  
  • Is responsive to students’ varying needs and interests
  • Employs formative and summative assessment (for learning)
  • Leads or assists in at least one co-curricular activity  

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; preferably has an advanced degree in science
  • Teaching experience; three or more years, preferred
  • Overt agreement with BA’s mission, statement of faith, and code of conduct
  • Ability to coach is advantageous in securing a position

The Brentwood Academy science department aims to equip students with skills needed to observe phenomena and interpret data systematically, carefully, and with a biblical worldview through inquiry-based and experiential learning.
