Summer Teaching Internship

Oak Hill School is seeking motivated and enthusiastic college juniors and seniors to join our Summer Internship Program. This program provides aspiring educators with hands-on teaching experience in a supportive and dynamic environment. Interns will work alongside experienced teachers, engage with students in grades Pre-K through 6th, and gain valuable insights into the teaching profession within a private school setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for upper-level college students pursuing careers in education to enhance their skills and build their resumes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons across various grade levels.
• Support classroom management and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Participate in collaborative meetings with faculty and staff.
• Facilitate small group instruction and provide one-on-one support to students.
• Contribute to school events, activities, and summer programming.
• Reflect on teaching practices and receive feedback from mentor teachers.
• Embrace and promote Oak Hill School’s mission, vision, and values.

Dates & Hours:

• Two weeks during Summer 2025 (June 2-13, 2025) 
• Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–3:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Must be a college junior or senior with a passion for working with children. 
• Passion for teaching and working with children in elementary grades.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
• Commitment to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and supportive community.
• Willingness to uphold and embody Christian values in the school environment.
